My home made Crepes with two different filling..

While doing my work, designing room layout for this Backpacker Hostel in Myanmar, I am craving for some sweet snacks. I browsing on the internet about some simple and easy to make sweet snack.

Since I missed Indonesian food and snack, I starting browsing on the internet about Indonesian sweet snack like, martabak manis or sweet martabak (ooh just writing this right now, my mouth instantly drooling again), panekuk or pancake and kue dadar or crepes. Sweet martabak is not easy to make I think (totally gonna try made this some other time). I don’t really like pancake.. Hmmm.. I remember, yesterday I bought 2 pack fresh strawberry from Coles, it’s discounted (YAAY!). After opening my fridge and find the ingredients, I decided to make crepes with strawberries – raisins caramel sauce.

Making crepes is really simple and easy to make. I don’t need the sophisticated kitchen appliances, just some large bowls to stirring flour dough, non-stick pan and my super speed manual mixer – my nippy hand. I’ve done this back in my home town, Jakarta. So, I guess it will be no problem.

I need about 20 minutes preparation and 10 minutes for cooking time. But it depends on your super speed manual mixer hand! Here are the recipes.

Ingredients :

CREPES
50 gram plain flour
25 gram corn flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
200 ml milk
2 egg yolk
1 egg white
1 tablespoon gram butter, melted

FILLING
4 tablespoon sugar
50 ml hot water
25 gram corn flour
150 gram strawberry, cut into small pieces
